Sara Brown is an English designer, artist, and brand consultant with a passion for colour, vintage-inspired design, and size inclusivity. Her work spans a wide range of creative areas, from homewares and accessories to clothing, all crafted with care in her Kent studio. Whether made-to-order, in small batches, or as one-of-a-kind pieces, each design is a reflection of Sara’s commitment to making everyday life a little brighter.
After launching Dolly Rocket in 2020, Sara now combines it with her other creations under Sara Brown Design—her best selling coasters and printed table linens remain. Sara designs sustainably, often up-cycling items and using pre-loved textiles. Her digitally printed designs are made on organic or recycled fabrics, printed to order in the UK.
Sara’s career began in fashion, where she worked for iconic brands like Marina Rinaldi and ASOS, helping to redefine plus-size clothing by pushing for better fits and more inclusive designs. Today, as a consultant, Sara helps brands like Lucy & Yak, If Only If, and Rixo expand their size offerings, using her expertise to ensure that all customers, regardless of size, feel seen and celebrated in their clothing.
Through Sara Brown Design, Sara combines her love of history, antique prints, and modern design to create beautiful, functional pieces that reflect her unique perspective. With a background in fashion and a personal commitment to size inclusivity, she continues to champion diversity and inclusivity in design.
Sara’s work has been featured in leading publications such as Cosmopolitan, House & Garden, and Red Magazine, and she regularly shares her expertise on panels and in written pieces, advocating for a more inclusive and accessible fashion industry.
